Larry McLaughlin - Former editor of The Miniature Aircraft
Quarterly.
When I was 5 years old my father
brought home a Topping Albatross from Grumman Aircraft model
from where he worked. He continued to bring home new models
of Grumman Aircraft and told me how special they were. Years
later I became an antique dealer and attended many shows and
always kept the desk models for my own collection. In the
1990s I became a speciality editor for the Plane News and
Miniature Aircraft Quarterly. During that time I met many
collectors in Europe and the U.S. and saw some wonderful old
models. Some of the models in my collection are shown here.
