A 1934 model of the
JU-52 3/M in scale 1:33 made by the toy manufacturer MAERKLIN of
Germany. Made in sheet metal – and many airlines ordered models like
this. Not entirely accurate in its details but with more charm than
present day plastic tubes. MAERKLIN produced 4 distinct different
versions: A closed fuselage, a floatplane, a “cutaway “with a hinged
cabin roof and cutaways like this one.
This model has a
modified cockpit frame and 2 antennae’s that are not original. There
are 2 other known models in DNL livery in Norwegian museums.
