Roe SR.177
A 1:24 scale manufacturer's display model of a
projected mixed-powerplant fighter which never
flew. It was based on the experimental
SR.53, two prototypes of which were flown in
1956-58. A mock-up of the SR.177 was
completed and work was well advanced on several
pre-production aircraft when the whole project
was scrapped. There were two proposed
versions, one for the RAF, one for the Royal
Navy. This model represents the latter. |
