For your
consideration, the Boeing 2707-100 SST in 1/60th scale, 60” in
length, a PacMin model professionally restored and detailed by
Retro Rocket, San Diego. This display
model was created by Boeing for United Airlines in the 1960s.
UAL was one of 25 Airlines that ordered the revolutionary new
plane.
This rare model is almost impossible to find as the 2707
program was shuttered and its completion was never realized.
Other Airline display models are found in flight
museums.
This offering comes with a new steel and aluminum adjustable
display stand and wood shipping crate for safe delivery.
This
model is also unique in that it had canards and strakes that
were not usually seen on the -100 design. (An interesting
note, the 1/400th scale Monogram model kit has
these features and also comes in the United livery.)
It also
comes with a letter from Retro Rocket detailing the entire
restoration.
The model
was meticulously researched so the restoration was as accurate
as possible.
A CAD model
was created using blueprints of the real vehicle and
replacement parts were 3D printed.
Retro Rocket
will only do restoration work on models that are historically
significant.
