A very rare and
maybe unique model. It's a 1/50 DC8 made by Pan Publis in
Paris in the sixties. In his book
"Airliner Models" Anthony J. Lawler has a very short quote
about "Pan Publis"....they made some DC 6 and some DC8 models.
(Page 238) The model is in high polished aluminium, the stand
is not original. Wings have number 103, fuselage nr 108. Heavy
casting 9.5 kg. Some casting imperfections at the tail
section. Beautiful model!. I have never seen a Pan Publis DC 8
model and I can not find another picture of the model. I found
it in a Sale of the Sabena-archive! Will be sent in a safe
wooden case.
